Home based regional role with travel
About the Role
Managing your own portfolio of properties, including domestic and healthcare settings, you’ll be helping to support people with disabilities to live as independently as possible. This is more than buildings - it’s about creating safe, high-quality environments that truly feel like home.
It’s a dynamic and fast-paced role where you will balance hands-on site inspections with strategic project delivery, ensuring that all building surveying, maintenance, and compliance activities are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Your working hours
Varied pattern of work with the expectation of 3 days a week on service sites and 2 days remote working, subject to priorities and workload. Travel across the UK is essential, including occasional overnight stays. You may also be required to work outside your designated region when needed.

Key Responsibilities
With a high level of autonomy and variety, you’ll be planning your own schedule of works, responding to both planned and reactive maintenance needs. Conducting Building surveys and pathology inspections across domestic and healthcare properties, including diagnosis and reporting of defects, you’ll also:
- Prepare and manage PPM schedules and budgets
- Project manage capital works from inception to completion
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, with a strong focus on fire safety
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance Coordinators and Service Managers to deliver efficient maintenance services
- Oversee contractor performance and sign off completed works on-site
- Manage, coordinate and build strong relationships with contractors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective delivery
- Provide progress updates
About you
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Building Surveying role (ideally 5+)
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, statutory compliance, and health & safety (including CDM)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and document management tools and comfortable working across multiple digital platforms
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays
Desirable:
- Property-related degree, MRICS or MCIOB qualification
- Familiarity with systems such as CAD, compliance platforms, and finance systems
- Experience within housing, social care, or healthcare environments
- Understanding of sector-specific compliance requirements (e.g. healthcare regulations)
