Our Newlands House supports adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to live their lives their way. We’re a relaxed, supportive, people-focused service where every day is different – from helping someone achieve a new personal goal to celebrating milestones together.

Your working hours

This is a full-time role, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota. You’ll also take part in our on-call system to ensure the smooth running of the service.

Typical shifts may include:

Day shifts: [e.g. 7am–3pm or 2pm–10pm]

What you’ll do

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care
  • Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times
  • Support with training, development, and supervision of staff
  • Work alongside customers to achieve their goals and promote independence
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
  • Step in to provide hands-on care and administer medication when needed

What helps you shine here

  • Experience in a supervisory role within a care setting
  • A relevant qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent)
  • Good communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • A warm, supportive, and motivating approach to working with others
  • Willingness to work flexibly and take part in the on-call rota
