“It’s not just nursing – it’s making a difference every single day.”

That’s how one of our nurses describes their role. If you’re compassionate, professional, and ready to use your skills to empower others, we’d love to hear from you.

A home, not just a service

Our Greenacres service supports adults with complex physical disabilities. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, welcoming and empowering environment where every day brings new opportunities – whether that’s celebrating a personal milestone, supporting a medical need, or helping someone achieve greater independence.

Your working hours

We offer occasional hours, with flexibility required across weekdays and weekends to cover annual leave and sickness.

Typical shifts may include:

  • Day shifts: e.g. 7:00am – 7:30pm, 7:00am – 1:30pm, 1:00pm – 7:30pm

We’ll work with you to agree a pattern that suits both the service and your availability.

Why you’ll love working here

As well as supporting your wellbeing and development, we offer a fantastic range of benefits:

  • 28 days’ holiday inclusive of bank holidays (rising to 33 days with service)
  • Stream: Access up to 40% of your pay before payday
  • Free Blue Light Card for discounts and savings
  • Contributory pension scheme with life cover
  • Health cash plan for everyday healthcare costs
  • Career development including apprenticeships and recognised qualifications
  • Free DBS check
  • Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing support

Enhanced pay: +£1.00 per hour for night working (8pm Monday – 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to sleep-ins.

What you’ll do

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care plans
  • Lead, supervise and support a team of care staff
  • Administer and manage medications safely
  • Deliver nursing care in line with NMC guidelines and best practice
  • Monitor health and wellbeing, responding promptly to changes
  • Support daily living tasks, promoting independence, dignity and choice
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals and external agencies
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory requirements

You’ll receive a full induction, training and ongoing professional development—whether you’re newly qualified or highly experienced.

What helps you shine here

  • NMC registered nurse (essential)
  • A caring, empathetic and professional approach
  • Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work weekends and on-call when required

Due to the complex needs of the residents at Greenacres, it is essential that you have:

  • Good knowledge and experience supporting individuals with complex physical needs
  • Experience in seizure management, including Buccolam administration
  • Confidence and competence in PEG feeding and maintaining PEG sites
  • Experience with catheter care, including male, female, suprapubic and convene systems

Experience in disability, residential or complex care nursing is advantageous.
