A home with heart
Hill House, rated “Good” by CQC, is a 24-bed care home with nursing, supporting adults with physical and learning disabilities. Our team helps residents enjoy independence and a fulfilling life.

Your working hours
 We have flexible nursing shifts available, including:

 • Full shifts: 07:30 – 20:00 (30-minute unpaid break)
 • Half shifts: 07:30 – 13:30 or 14:00 – 20:00
 • Night shifts: 19:30 – 08:00

From 1 December 2025, enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will apply to night working (8pm Monday – 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). (This does not apply to sleep-ins.)

About the role
As a Registered Nurse with Leonard Cheshire, you will provide the highest standards of nursing, clinical, and personal support, guided by residents’ Person-Centred Plans. Key responsibilities include:

 • Leading and managing a team of support staff effectively during your shift
 • Administering and ordering medication safely, and maintaining accurate records
 • Supporting residents with personal care, physical care, and daily tasks
 • Conducting ongoing health assessments and observing changes in well-being
 • Ensuring compliance with NMC guidelines and internal procedures
 • Prioritising and delegating tasks to meet residents’ needs in a safe, caring environment

 • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
 • Up-to-date knowledge of nursing theory and best practice (level 5)
 • Understanding of the NMC Code of Conduct and relevant practice standards
 • Effective nursing practice across all basic procedures
 • Flexibility to work rostered hours and on-call rota as required
