Your working hours

We offer full-time hours, working Monday to Friday.

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins. 

What you’ll do

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our service safe, well-presented, and operating smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and decoration across buildings, equipment, and grounds
  • Planning and delivering proactive maintenance schedules
  • Prioritising workload to maintain a safe, high-quality environment
  • Supervising and supporting ancillary staff such as drivers, gardeners, or maintenance assistants
  • Completing safety checks, including PAT testing and fire alarm tests
  • Coordinating with external contractors for specialised repairs
  • Ensuring COSHH, health & safety, and manual handling requirements are followed
  • Supporting transport services, including training volunteer drivers
  • Maintaining close working relationships with the staff team to understand customer needs
  • Participating in training, meetings, and professional development

What helps you shine here

  • Experience in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing, carpentry) or similar maintenance role
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, COSHH, and PAT testing
  • Good communication, organisation, and time-management skills
  • A full driving licence (if required by the service)
  • A warm, flexible, and positive approach
  • A genuine commitment to the values and ethos of Leonard Cheshire

A Level 3 or 4 qualification in a relevant skill is advantageous.
