A home, not just a service

The Manor is a residential home which houses 22 residents with a variety of different disabilities and needs. Located in the beautiful and rural town of Brampton in Huntington Cambridgeshire, the service is close to Hinchingbrooke Country Park and the local town centre where you can enjoy local pubs, Notcutts Garden Centre, cafes, and restaurants. If you’re looking for a quiet and rural area with the choice of enjoying local entertainment, then The Manor is the right place for you.

Your working hours

  • Hours: To be confirmed (flexibility required)
  • You may be asked to work occasional weekends or evenings to support essential maintenance or emergencies.

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins. 

  • Carry out day-to-day repairs and general maintenance of the building and grounds
  • Support planned maintenance schedules, liaising with external contractors where required
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company procedures
  • Conduct regular checks on equipment, fire alarms, and emergency lighting
  • Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors

What helps you shine here

  • Basic maintenance or handyman skills (painting, plumbing, joinery, or similar)
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Friendly, professional attitude and willingness to help others
  • Previous experience in a care home or similar setting (helpful but not essential)
